Abstract

Laurence Ledrut is Head of Process Safety at Origin Energy. She has two Masters of Engineering, in Safety and Environmental Risk Prevention, and Engineering Sciences (Chemical). She is a Fellow Engineer and Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia, Registered Professional Engineer QLD, Functional Safety Engineer (TUV certified), Associate Member of IChemE and Justice of the Peace (Qual). She specializes in Process Engineering and Process Safety Engineering with 19 years of experience covering the lifecycle of assets, across Europe and Pacific. She is passionate about building an open learning culture and collaboration, to prevent future major hazard accidents.

Abstract

Chris’ career has spanned operational assets across QGC and APA; he has held various role within APA’s Integrated Operations Centre an in field-operations leadership. Chris leads the technical support to the Control Room and Commercial Operations teams, and is exposed to all aspects of frontline safety, reliability, and efficiency. Chris’ other responsibilities include managing operational capacity out to the medium time horizon, and leads APA’s dedicated operational emissions reduction team.

Development and Implementation of Pre-Incident Plan – Our Experiences

Abstract

Stuart Chia is a chemical and environmental engineer with almost 30 years’ experience in the process safety, risk management and environmental engineering field. He has been a process safety specialist and risk lead for energy and chemical processing clients including BP, Hess, Shell, Conoco and PTT. Stuart has also conducted high level business and project risk studies for major energy developments and critical infrastructure projects. He has conducted feasibility, risk and safety studies for renewable energy developments in Australia and New Zealand. With Sherpa, Stuart is an active member of the IChemE Safety Centre and contributed to various process safety initiatives.
